TV: Taskmaster
As a kid, I watched the original British Whose Line Is It Anyway? back when it aired on Comedy Central, and ever since I've been a sucker for comedy panel shows from the other side of the pond. Taskmaster is perhaps the best of its breed - the show pits five people (mostly comedians) against a series of difficult or absurd tasks meted out by the titular host, Greg Davies.
On occasion, a contestant figures out an ingenious way to complete a task by using lateral thinking or clever exploitation of the task's wording. Just as often, however, brilliant solutions are beaten by dumb luck or plain old brute force:
