Music: Hurray

You've probably never heard of Kalan Porter if you're not a fan of "Canadian Idol." I had certainly never heard of him - until I saw the music video featured below. It's often a rough life for Idol winners, and the music they turn out is seldom noteworthy. But I think "Hurray," and the accompanying music video, is pretty nifty.

Kalan Porter is not only a great vocalist with a unique voice but also a songwriter and a musician (piano, viola, violin and guitar).

He wrote 7 tracks on his new CD "Wake Up Living" including the string arrangements! He is one respectable artiste of our times!

I am one of the increasing many who are enjoying his artistic works tremendously!

Hurray!!!

Kalan has an incredible voice and plays several instruments..the violin most notably. As far as I (and many of his fans) are concerned, he is the best thing ever to come out of the entire Idol franchise....he has a large, very dedicated fan base in Canada.

He recently performed in Toronto and fans of his came from all over Canada. On top of that he is a very grounded, down to earth, likeable guy.

Indeed, every song on his new album "Wake Up Living" is wonderful and shows the wide range of Kalan's voice. In deed, I never get tired of listening to Kalan and I have never said this about an artist before. Also he is the main song writer on many of the songs of his new album.

So glad you discovered him.u
