Miscellany: The Sex Kitten Period

It's interesting how consistently sex sells. And far be it from me to tell someone what they can and can't do with their bodies - if either Jessica Alba or Jessica Biel want to show off, who am I to blame them?

One weird thing, though - it's not like either of these two women are newcomers or strangers to acting. Both Alba and Biel have done lots of other fairly successful roles, in TV and cinema. In fact, both are lifelong actresses who have paid their dues (there's nothing quite like doing small-time commercials and bit parts to pay the rent). Alba has even said publicly she's worried about being typecast. I wonder how much success it takes in Hollywood before a star can pick and choose her roles.
